STOP Spending Money On Ineffective Marketing

One great way to save money is to stop wasting it on marketing and advertising that isn’t producing results for you. Track the number of responses you are getting from your advertising efforts. If they are not producing results, then your strategy is not working as well as it should and needs to be revised.

FOCUS ON HELPING, INSTEAD OF SELLING

Growing your business doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive. These simple, cost-effective ideas are designed to help you increase your sales and profit, without draining your budget.

You shouldn’t be trying to force people into purchasing your product or service. You should find people who want your product or service and then focus on offering any helpful information to them so that they can make an informed decision.

If you’re trying to target everybody, then chances are, you’re not targeting anybody. For example, if you’re selling something that homeowners would want, as opposed to renters, then target homeowners. State your target clearly in all of your marketing materials.

Here’s a fe w tips that you might find useful

Also be prepared to to present to the gatekeeper a smaller version of what you are going to say to the prospect. If leaving a message on voice mail, or with a gatekeeper, be sure to ask dor their email address, correct spelling of the decesion maker’s name, cell phone and the best time to vall them back.

The objective of your opening is to pique curiosity and interest so that they will willingly and enthusiastically move to the questioning. You must answer, “What’s in it for me?” for the listener, or they will immediately begin the getting-rid-of-you process.

How Often Do You Email Your Customers?

Do you use emails for prospecting for new leads?

I came across this great bit of information on the econsultancy site and thought I’ll share it here with you.

“It is a temptation for email marketers to begin to send out more offers to customers if current campaigns are working well in the hope that increased frequency will yield greater returns.

This can be a risky strategy though; while more emails may produce better results, there is a point at which customers will tire of too many emails and start to unsubscribe, ignore, or mark emails as spam. Read more here: http://goo.gl/erYkC8

Know How And When to Say “Goodbye” to A Customer!

Here is a great way to say goodbye to a customer when you no longer want to work with them.

“Hi John,

I might be dating myself but I’m hoping you will remember the 1981 hit song from the Clash titled “should I Stay or Should I Go?”

And, that is the specific reason I’m writing today. I believe it’s a worthwhile investment for us to continue our dialogue. Ultimately you get to decide if (and when) that conversation happens.

I don’t hear anything back before the end of the month, I’ll assume you’re no longer interested and place your file in our inactive archives.

Regards”

Its not threatening, It’s not in your face, it’s just a simple and straight forward way to say goodbye.
